After Newport, we had a few more days left in San Diego. We celebrated my Dad's birthday, spent some more time by the ocean and enjoyed our last few days of family time.
On my Dad's birthday, Jeff and him went golfing in the morning, then we went to lunch over at RB Inn which is a resort pretty much across the street from my parents neighborhood (beautiful by the way), and then that evening we went to Bernardo Winery and listened to some music, had some wine and cheese and I took a TON of pictures once again!
Oh family pictures. One day we will get a decent one.
Why is it so hard to look at the camera?
Then on to the winery. It's beautiful over there as well, so I had fun with some picture taking.
Nana made these heart boxes with the girls. They decided to keep their favorite sea shells in them.
We took a family bike ride in Mission Beach and Pacific Beach on Monday morning. That was a blast and the kids all loved it. (more pictures to come)
We spent our last full day at one of our favorite spots, and the one park where we have so many memories over the last few years, Del Mar, Powerhouse Park. It was so great to be back there, watching the girls run and play and adding Landon to our memories there. He loved it too and especially loved swinging. He was not happy when we took him out of the swing.
Seriously the best I could get!
So cute of my boys!
Before heading to the airport, on our last morning, we went over to Seaport Village to let everyone ride on the carousel, one last hurrah before we headed back to Texas. (Pictures to come)
And at that, vacation was over. Back to the real life, back to get our new school year in full swing, and for Jeff back to his many "jobs"! We had a blast on our family vacation. We made some great memories, we had lots of laughs, a few tears, even a bit of sickness (from me at least), but it was all a blessing and we are so thankful for our time there this year! Thanks mom and dad for putting up with us again for so long!
