Avery finally had a chance to try out the swing for the first time while it's not blazing outside. And she loved it! She was full of giggles and smiles. It was so sweet. It was especially special since we were at our favorite park in Del Mar where we have made MANY memories during the four years we lived here. Now Avery has a memory here too. Here is our cute girl loving her first swing ride.
And of course big sister had to join in!

Having fun with Nana and Papaw
It has been so great watching the girls playing and having fun with Nana and Papaw again. During our weekends here we have spent as much time on the coast as possible and luckily my parents decided to join in the fun. We've had lots of picnics, lots of playing at the park, lots of coastal driving soaking in the views, and lots of giggling with Nana and Papaw.
Papaw is NOT a jungle gym girls!
Love this one!
Out to lunch on our coastal drive day. I never get over how gorgeous the San Diego coast line is!

A Visit with GP
The day after our trip to Disneyland, we headed up to Redlands to see my Papaw, so he could meet his newest great granddaughter. We met at Chick-fil-a, let the big girls play for a couple hours while we got to visit with my aunt, cousin and Papaw. It was great to see him and he was so excited to meet Avery and see the girls.

Disneyland!
Of course we couldn't come all the way to San Diego and not make time to get to Disneyland. We decided this time we would make it a two day trip since we now have three, so we could make it a more laid back visit. And boy was it different with three! We still missed a few favorite spots after being there for two days. It seemed like after every ride or show it was time for a potty break, a diaper change, feeding all those little faces, or reapply sunscreen. It was busy and exhausting but such a blast! I love taking my family to Disneyland and watching the look on my girls faces. I already wish we could go back and I knew it would be a favorite part of vacation!
Riding the Ariel Carousel. Always a favorite for the girls.
Avery was a trooper on her first visit to Disneyland. I can't wait to take her back when she is old enough to enjoy it.

Waiting for the parade to start!
The parade is always a favorite part of the day for the girls. THey were so cute waving at all the characters. The look on their faces when the princess float came was priceless. Aubrey was practically jumping up and down waving and waving!
Sweet sisters.
Mom and I at the World of Color, which was an incredible nighttime show.
Ready for day two?!?!
First stop...Winnie the Pooh ride!
The rockets with Daddy! It's a tradition to make this one a daddy daughter ride.
The whole family together on Avery's first ride on a carousel.
Princess Coronation. The girls love love love this show!!
Aubrey and Cinderella. Adalyn was ONLY interested in hugging Belle.
This part made the whole trip worth it! Adalyn was VERY sad after the Coronation because Belle wasn't there. Literally for the past month she has been telling us that at Disneyland she wants to hug Belle. We went to see how long the princess line was and it was 45 minutes, and we wouldn't be guaranteed to see Belle. Long story short this sweet sweet girl who was working the Princess line, saw Adalyn crying about Belle and felt really sad for her. So she snuck Jeff and the girls in the back so Adalyn could give her a hug and let Jeff snap a couple pictures. Isn't that the sweetest thing ever. She let us surpass the whole line so we wouldn't miss Belle just to put a smile on our little girls face. Adalyn was so happy and it melted our hearts to see her little dream come true. Priceless!
My cute baby!
Disneyland was such a blast! Great memories.
Another great part of the trip happened on our last night. We headed back to the hotel early, ate dinner, put the girlies to bed, and then Jeff and I got to go back to Disney ALL BY OURSELVES, while my mom stayed back with the girls. It was so fun! We only rode three rides, but it was so glorious walking around with NOTHING! No strollers, no diaper bags, no baby bjorn, just us. We managed to snap one picture while waiting in line for Space Mountain.

First Stop... the beach of course!
We are in San Diego! It's so very nice to be back and really looking forward to all the fun we can cram into our 2 1/2 weeks here. It honestly feels like we are home. It's been so great getting a break from the unbearable heat, seeing my parents, hanging out with friends and enjoying this beautiful city and all it has to offer. On Saturday, our first day here we headed to Del Mar to spend the day at the beach with my parents and the Thomas's. It was beautiful and perfect weather. The girls had so much fun playing with Mary and Sally. Avery loved her first time at the beach too. She of course ate the sand, and even took a great long nap so I actually got to sit and chat with Julie for awhile. I know we will be back several times before we have to head back to Kingwood.
Avery's first time at the beach!
Playing in the sand!
