Tutu's from Nana and Papaw

When Jeff and I went on our house hunting trip to Houston, the girls stayed with my mom and dad and of course they were completely spoiled and had a blast. While they were staying with them Nana gave them these super cute tutu's that the girls absolutely love and have them on constantly. They were so cute dancing in them yesterday morning that I had to snap some pictures.

Twirling and dancing. One of the things these girls do best!

Family Day at Sea World

I love family days! They are my favorite. It doesn't get much better than just spending the day with my three favorite people. We decided to quickly use our 2nd day of our Sea World tickets before we head out of San Diego. It didn't start out to be too great of a day. We first headed to the dolphin show, but got rained on the whole time. It was just a drizzle, but we were soaked. So then we headed for an early lunch and tried to wait out the rain. Finally the sun came out, the jackets came off, and it ended being a fun and beautiful day. They had some special halloween activities going on which was fun. The girls got to go trick or treating a little early. Lots of kids where in costume, but we opted for just the pumpkin shirts! Aubrey's favorite part of the day was watching the polar bears, and Adalyn's was riding the elmo ride!

Watching the polar bear.

And now watching the beluga whales.

Just my cute girl waiting for her turn. They wouldn't let me ride the KIDDIE rides because I am pregnant, so Jeff had to take turns with the girls.

Adalyn's favorite part. She is still talking about riding the zebra elmo!

And a little bribery for some of that candy they got, can really get you some super cute pictures!

All of us.

A day at Sea World with no naps is exhausting for everyone.

Here We Go!

Where are we going you ask? I think most of you know already, but we are heading back to Texas. Not just on vacation this time, but we are actually moving...to Houston. Wow! It still is a little hard to get out. God has been very clear to Jeff and I, and although going back to Houston was NEVER on our list, we will listen and follow and trust that He knows exactly what He is doing. That has been the hardest part for me, trusting God. I keep telling Him, "you know God, I am due with baby #3 in January, and you do know my mom and dad live 15 minutes away and I am REALLY going to need the extra help. Maybe this isn't the best timing God. Do you think maybe you could rethink this, please????". But He didn't quite get the message, or maybe He did but He still thinks His plan is better than mine. Okay okay, His plan IS better than mine! When this first came up, I think in August, I told Jeff "I am not going to Houston, and if God wants me to go He is going to have to take me kicking and screaming". So funny now, because sometimes I feel that is exactly what is happening, the kicking and screaming part! But I am ready to trust Him and I do know that His plan for our family is WAY better than anything I have come up with in my head. He provided a wonderful new job opportunity for Jeff with GE energy. It will be a great position for him and he is really excited about it. We went a couple of weeks ago on a house hunting trip and found a beauitful home in Kingwood. We of course wanted to live in The Woodlands or Spring since that's where we used to live, but the commute would be over an hour each way for Jeff, and that is just not worth it to us. The way God has worked out everything with the house has been amazing. He has just answered prayer after prayer! We should be in our house just after Thanksgiving which will give me 2 months almost exactly to get settled before little baby girl arrives! Whew, talk about stress!

Pray for us as we start this new journey together as a family. I am having a really hard time leaving my parents and breaking their hearts. I hate this part of not having them down the street to see every week. I hate that they are going to miiss out on so much of their grandchildren's lives. We love San Diego so much and our church home. We have made some amazing friendships here that are so hard to walk away from. It is definitely going to be an emotional move. Pray for us to remember to be prayerful about EVERYTHING and to cling to God and to one another. We are excited about this new chapter of our life!

Here is the new house. One of the exciting parts of moving is paying less for our mortgage for this house than to rent our 1300 square foot house here!

All About Pumpkins!

We have had lots of fun around here making pumpkin crafts, reading pumpkin books, and of course making our very own Jack-O-Lantern! The girls LOVE to paint so anytime we break out the paints they are ecstatic. Their little pumpkins they painted turned out so cute. And then it was time to clean out our pumpkin that we got at the pumpkin patch so Daddy could carve it. Aubrey loved this part and had a blast getting dirty and digging out the seeds. Adalyn, on the other hand, wanted no part, which really surprised me. She just wanted to watch. We roasted the seeds and had a yummy snack after nap that day!

Our favorite pumpkin book. They LOVE this book!

Now time to clean the pumpkin.

Adalyn thinking hard about if she should touch that seed or not!

Pumpkin Patch

This week the girls and I went on our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. Every year we seem to visit a different one, and the one we went to last year is still my favorite. This one was just in a parking lot, so it wasn't the real deal. But, we still had fun, and the girls had a blast playing with Sally once again. Our visit was cut short because as my friend Julie and I looked up at the sky we realized we were about to be stuck in a down pour. It's a good thing we left when we did because about 2 minutes after I was in my car it started pouring. And have I ever mentioned before how southern Californian's don't know how to handle the rain? So we still have 2 tickets left for rides at the Pumpkin Station and I didn't get too many good pictures so this post may be one of two!

Playing on the pumpkins. Can you see the clouds rolling in, and the beautiful outhouses in the back?

Picking out our pumpkin.

Eating some yummy pumpkin cookies that Julie was nice enough to bring and share!

Aubrey and Sally riding the train. Adalyn wanted no part of this!

So many pumpkins!

The best I got with my girls.

Oh the Silly things Little Miss Aubrey Says!

Aubrey and Adalyn both LOVE to color with a pen. They actually prefer it to crayons for whatever reason. And I can USUALLY trust them with a pen and a paper. Yesterday as they were both sitting on the kitchen floor coloring with a pen, I started hearing some scribbling that didn't sound like it was on paper, but rather the refrigerator. As I peaked around the corner I realized that, yes, my assumption was correct and Aubrey was coloring on the refrigerator with her pen. I immediately took it away and she was sent to time out. Now fast forward to when Daddy got home. He saw the pen on the refrigerator and asked Aubrey if she did that. She told him she did and then she said something that made me immediately cover my mouth to hide my smile and laugh. She said "You happy Daddy? Cause I went poo poo on the potty". This came out immediately, before Jeff could even get on to her for coloring on the refrigerator. She just felt the need to remind Daddy that just minutes before he was proud of her poo poo accomplishment, so don't get hung up on something as silly as coloring on the refrigerator!

A Visit from Granny

Jeff's mom came to visit us this past week. We all had a blast and the girls especially loved their extra time with Granny. Here are some highlights from the week!
