Christmas Festivities

Our month of December has been full of fun as we have been preparing for Christmas! I love this time of year, all of our traditions and all of the extra time we get to spend together.

It always starts with our Tree decorating party right after Thanksgiving. It's the night they get their new Christmas Pj's and we always celebrate with Christmas music and some yummy treats our while we decorate.

We had a little ornament exchange party for the girls and a few of their friends. What a fun (and loud) party this was!

We took a quick trip to San Antonio to see Jeff's who was having reconstructive surgery after surviving breast cancer. It was pure chaos, this first trip of ours as a fam of 7, but we did manage to take some time to ride the river boats and look at all the Christmas lights. We all had a blast doing this!

We had fun one after painting new Christmas ornaments.

And believe me the Christmas festivities have not stop there! Stay tuned for a few more!

Pictures!

A few weeks ago we took some pictures of the kiddos out in the backyard. I had intended to take them somewhere more exciting for our little photo shoot but again, in this season of life, this was the best I could do. I love these 5 more than words can express. They are all my treasures, and my gifts from God. They exhaust me, life with 5 is very stressful, my days are chaos and busy and I am never ever "done", but I am beyond blessed to be there mommy and I honestly would not have it any other way!

A Little Wrap Up

One thing I have learned since having #5 is that I truly have absolutely no extra time for things like blogging, or really any thing of interest to me. Ha! But really, there is just not much time left in my day for any extras, and blogging has just fallen off the tray. So in order to catch up a little I thought I would just post some highlights from October and November. We have been busy for sure over here, but we have had lots of fun too and I definitely wanted to document a few things before I post Christmas festivities.

Lynlee is still a highlight over here and the girls love sitting around watching her. One night in October we all sat around watching Lynlee practice holding up her head. They were all so cute so I had to snap a few pics.

The big girls and I went to watch Beauty and the Beast the musical with some friends. It was a high school production but we were very impressed. It was definitely a fun mommy daughter day!

Jeff's parents came for a visit on November and got to meet Lynlee. We had a great time and even had a chance to squeeze in a visit to the zoo.

We have been trucking right along with school as well. Aubrey and Adalyn have grown immensely with their reading and writing.  I'm still trying to squeeze a few crafts in every now and then but those have slowed down a bunch. Landon has got to join in a few times with craft time which he loves!
