The girls dance classes started up again last week. This year I wasn't able to find classes back to back again so unfortunately we have to be up there two different days. They were so very excited to start and both love their new class. Aubrey was a little hesitant to take dance again. She kept saying she wanted to do gymnastics but at the last minute she decided to stick to dance. Things may change for her next year but I think it will be a fun year for both girls in dance. Our Sweet 5 Year Old
I seriously can't even believe that our little Aubrey Claire is a big five year old now! How in the world did that happen so fast? I feel like just yesterday when I looked at her she looked like this...
And then suddenly the morning of her 5th birthday she looks like this! So a lot of Aubrey's birthday looks pretty similar to Adalyn's. She pretty much chose the same things. Her morning started with a cinnamon roll for breakfast, and then we headed to our play group at the same indoor playground we went to on Adalyn's birthday. This time our friends were there! Then we headed to meet Daddy for lunch at her very favorite restaurant which of course is Pei Wei. A Now Aubrey had originally wanted to go swimming that evening (just like Adalyn, do you notice a pattern), but it was supposed to storm so instead we told her we would take her to Chuck E Cheese if it rained. Then the girls the rest of the day kept saying "please rain please rain"! It cracked us up. Needless to say we headed to Chuck E Cheese for dinner. This made for one happy birthday girl! Time for cake! Aubrey's request was a pink Hello Kitty cake. I had to pull it off for the sake of her birthday dreams. It turned out pretty good and made for one happy birthday girl. She was so excited all day to eat her Hello Kitty cake. Presents time. Definitely a favorite part of the birthday girl's day. The one thing she continued to ask for was a Hello Kitty jewelery box, so she was one happy camper when she opened up her very own jewelery box. Believe me, before she went to sleep that night it was full of all her jewelery. Thanking her sister for her presents. She loved all her clothes and shoes that Nana and Papaw sent her. This girl was thrilled when she opened up her brand new Cinderella backpack. Jeff and I with our big five year old. Aubrey Claire, words can not even describe my overwhelming love for you. Your sweet personality is adorable and even your big sister bossiness makes me smile! You are my little helper, you love to learn new things, you love to play with your friends, you love to pretend and make up little games to play with your sister and you absolutely love to sing. You have been learning so many new things, and growing up so quickly. Daddy and I are so very proud of the beautiful little lady you are becoming and we pray for you constantly that you continue to seek God and that you truly learn to love Him with all your heart. We love you so much sweet girl. Happy Birthday.Posted by The Skains Family at 10:02 PM 0 comments

Birthday Party Time
The girls had a blast this year at their birthday party. We decided this year to do a girly birthday party. We painted nails, made necklaces, ate some yummy snacks and listened to a bunch of giggly little girls. It was definitely a fun day and I think the birthday girls felt pretty special. I just can't believe my little girls are four and five. How did that happen so fast! The birthday girls all ready for their party!
Some of the yummy snacks. I loved to nail polish cookies and nope, I did not make those! The girls all jumped right into necklace making. As I heard beads continually dropping on the floor I had to just keep breathing deeply! Getting nails painted! Some of the party guests. Then it was time for cupcakes. Oh my shy girls! This is while they were being sung too. Adalyn is just like her mommy. The thought of being the center of attention really stresses her out! They had lots of presents to open and lots of little girls to "help"! Avery really enjoyed her cookie. The sister shot. I had been meaning for awhile to get a pregnancy picture with Stephanie and good thing we finally remembered because eight days later little Miss Samantha made her appearance 10 days early. Now she is just waiting for her little buddy to get here! My girlies are growing up! Although it can be sad, I am so so proud of the little ladies they are becoming. Happy birthday Aubrey and Adalyn.Posted by The Skains Family at 9:45 PM 1 comments
