It's Christmas Time

Yes, I realize that I am skipping about 2 months of our lives, but that is just how this blogging thing goes for me these days! So Christmas is over but I thought we would post all of the fun things we have been able to do this December as we lead up to the celebration of the birth of Jesus.

We had fun family celebration as we "decked the halls". This is always a favorite tradition for all of us!

Enjoying some snacks before the party officially kicks off!

They always get matching Christmas pj's the night we decorate. Here are our 5 cuties!

 These two melt my heart!

And some fun hanging the ornaments.

 Break for a treat!

 The finished product!

This was a fun family day out at Kingwood Town Center. Santa was there and lots of cute performances from local kids programs. The kids had a blast!

Our Santa picture this year. Not the best quality which is frustrating but just another memory!

We painted ornaments...

Aubrey, Adalyn and Avery had their very sweet Christmas choir program. I don't think we ever get sick of watching our cute girls singing in their choir shows. It's pretty precious!

We also had a fun girl day! We went to Starbucks for a treat and then we went and saw the play The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. We had just read the book so this was an extra special day for all 4 of us!

Happy 3rd Birthday Landon

Well it's getting to be about time to wrap up the year and I couldn't leave out our sweet boy's 3rd birthday!

It was a fun fun day celebrating Landon. Jeff's parents were in town for the weekend which was a bonus for him. We wanted to do something fun for his birthday, but we also know the reality of our season and a full day out with everyone can some times not be too fun! So instead we rented a jumping castle. Just for our family! Ha! But in our defense we get a really great deal using this company for jumping castles, plus they let us have it for almost 48 hours. It was worth it for sure and it made Landon's day!

He woke up that morning with a hallway full of balloons which he really didn't think was as great as we thought he would!

The jumping castle arrived right after our donut birthday breakfast, and right before we had to get ready for church. They all managed to squeeze in a few minutes of jumping before we had to get ready.

He was so excited to open his present from his sisters.

We even invited some neighbors and other friends over to play, so seriously, it was like birthday party! This is the way to do a party. Last minute and nothing but a jumping castle. He thought it was the best!

And of course playing with Nan and Bop was a big high light!

Playing with the cute birthday boy. I don't usually end up in too many birthday pictures so I had to remember this one!
He got to open one present outside, and this was the one toy he had been asking about for months!

Daddy and his boy!
Cake time!

And then just a couple more presents to finish off the day.

A backpack from Nana and Papaw...
And finally his very own Bible!
Lately you love to carry your Bible around, looking for this certain picture of Jesus. When you find it you tell all of us "I found Jesus", over and over again. But if you can't find it you say "Me can't find Jesus." It is quite adorable!

Oh my sweet Landon Jeffrey. How can you be 3 already! You are just such a fun little boy, full of funny and adorable things to say. You give great big hugs and I love the tiny kisses and the big kisses you give me on my cheek almost every night before bed. I always ask you if you are still me baby and you always proudly answer "yes!". You melt my heart. Now, although you are stinkin cute, you talk A LOT!!! You are always telling me the same thing over and over and over again and most the time I honestly have no idea what you are saying. Ha! But it is precious and I am trying to cling to every ounce of preciousness. You are in that "Me do it" stage, that part of babyhood quickly fleeing as you work on being independent. It takes a lot of patience though as I wait for "you to do it." You love books, trains, footballs, riding your big boy bike and playing outside. We love you so much little guy. You make us laugh, all of us! Your little grin just melts my heart. I'm so thankful for you. I prayed so hard for God to bless us with another baby and that's when He gave me you. You are a treasure Landon, and you bring such joy to our days and our family. I pray that you grow into a man that runs after God so wholeheartedly and that you fight for Him and serve Him with every part of you. Happy birthday our cute boy!
