Blue or Pink

Here they are waiting to see if they are holding something blue or pink!

And... more pink it is!! A fourth girl will be added to this crew, Oh if Landon only knew... Ha!
Here is my first official baby belly picture. I keep forgetting to take one this time around. Here we are at 18 weeks!

Getting Ready for Easter

The week before Easter we had a lot of fun around here, doing some fun crafts and really focusing on why He came, why He died and then rejoicing together that He came back and defeated death. We had a week full of great conversations!

We made these buttons crosses and a jelly bean prayer craft as well.

We dyed Easter Eggs and we did it a little differently this year. We used shaving cream and food coloring and swirled it around and then I let the girls push their eggs around with a tooth pick. It was great because they actually got to do most of the work!
See Landon peeking. This was about the extent of his involvement.

We also made these Ressurection Rolls for a fun snack one afternoon. They thought this was just the greatest thing ever! You put a large marshmallow inside a raw biscuit. You roll up the sides to close the marshmallow in, dip it in butter (I didn't say it was healthy), roll it through cinnamon sugar and bake it. When you cut through the roll after it bakes, it's empty, just like Jesus's tomb. Pretty fun!

April Recap

April has been a fun, and yet another busy month around here. I thought I would take a moment to do a little catch up post about all that has been going on over here!

Jeff was able to take the two big girls on a Daddy/daughter date. They went out to dinner, and then went to play black light minature golf and  got home way passed their bed time which they thought was rather exciting. They all had so much fun and continued to talk about it for days!

Avery wanted to jump in a picture too of course!

We had fun at field day with our home school group. Although the only thing they were too interested in playing was musical chairs. Not really a field day event in my mind, but they sure had fun!

They both won one game and they were ecstatic about this!

 Eating lunch with our friends.
Landon and his buddy Garrett hanging out in the wagon.
Guess who finally decided to start walking this month!!
Cute little red head! He's not 100% there but at least he is moving in the right direction.

Now this next part is just cute to me. Aubrey has really blossomed in her sixth year. She has come out of her shell a lot, and really started making some friends through Super Friday, church, choir and our small group. One of her little friends is Alivia and they have really started a cute little friendship. They are in our small group, they are in the same class at Super Friday and we go to church with them so we they see each other often. The other night after small group was over she gave Aubrey this little BFF necklace. Aubrey was thrilled and she couldn't stop smiling. And she literally wears it everyday. Cute!
A couple of weekends ago Jeff and a couple of his buddies went on a camping trip over the weekend. Since I know my  limit, I went ahead and hired a sitter on Saturday so I could catch a little break before the week started up again. Aubrey wanted to come with me and we ended up having just a fun mommy daughter day, getting pedicures, going out to lunch to Pei Wei of course and ending the day at the mall. Fun times with my oldest!

Rockstars

Last week the girls were all about playing "Rockstars". Not really sure were this came from but they spent a lot of their time at the top of the stairs performing songs for each other. Most were Frozen songs but Adalyn likes to make them up. Most of hers begin like this ... "The sun is shining, the flowers are blooming, the wind is blowing...", and sung in a very sassy voice. Here is another rendition of her made up songs... ""Sisters together, sisters forever, even when flowers are blooming, butterfly's are flying, even if its gloomy. Sisters are the best rockstars! Oh yeah!".  Then they all clap for each other and say "good job!". Adalyn usually even has great responses to her praise... "Ahem... Is this thing on? Oh, thanks everyone. That's my favorite song in all the land." The girl is hysterical although she still won't show that funny side to many people.

Well on Sunday afternoon, after church we were just playing outside, riding bikes etc. They love to play in the back of Jeff's truck, so he laid the bed down and let them play up there. They quickly came up with the idea to play rockstar and use his truck as a stage. This went on for quite a while and had Jeff and I both cracking up.

Landon was sleeping during most of those performance but once he woke up he came out to play with the family. He seriously loves to be outside! Now if he would just walk...

 Sisterly love. Ha!
