Family Day

When we sat down as a family at the beginning of the month and talked about our goals for the year, we all decided that we should make more of an effort to have some fun family days. We actually wrote down "a trip to the Children's Museum." So that's exactly what we did! It was a fun day, crazy busy there on a Saturday, but nonetheless, we all had a great time. All three girls loved it and it made us all excited for the day that Landon has just as much fun!

Helping Daddy! They were all cracking up.

Really working hard in the science lab!

Avery had lots of fun playing in this little playhouse.

Lots of instruments. They had fun making lots of noise! Landon got to have fun in here too.

I love this picture. Jeff having a music lesson with a bunch of kids. It just makes me laugh, then Avery has her ears plugged. Ha!

Playing out on the playground.

At the end of the day we discovered this little creation station were you make different inventions and then test them out. We spent a lot of time making these little parachutes. Jeff and I had just as much fun with this as the kids did! Next time we will make sure to save more time for this one.

15 months

Landon is up to all sorts of new things lately so I thought it was time for an update. 15 months old now quickly approaching 16 months. Time just continues to fly over here. He seriously is just a sweet boy. He is a cuddly, laid back, smiley little boy and our whole family just can't ever seem to get enough of him.

He loves riding his train. He's always playing this, getting on and off and riding it all around downstairs. It's pretty cute. Not walking yet but can ride a train all by himself!

Landon loves to be outside! He loves the park, he loves riding in the wagon, he loves to swing and go down slides. Now, again, if he would learn to walk he could have a lot more fun!

He also loves to dance. When he hears music he shakes his head and it's hysterical. Then he claps when he's done. Precious! His first official word is hot. When I put any food on his high chair he immediately puts out his hand and says "ha". Aubrey loves to respond to him each time and say "It's not hot Landon. You can eat in." Such a little mommy, more and more each day. He is constantly on the go, and he gets harder and harder to snap pictures of. He is officially throwing full on fits these days. Usually when he is going up the stairs and I grab him, when I have to take something away that he is not supposed to have, and almost every single time I put him into his car seat. You know, the whole screaming and arching back thing! He likes to play by himself and gets really irritated when his big sisters try to bother him.

He loves to climb, he loves to walk around holding onto furniture, he LOVES the tupperware cabinet and he still loves looking out the window.

He had his first hair cut. This was technically at 14 months, but I forgot about it. Oops!

And Landon with his biggest sister. This girl loves loves him! He's not always as head over heals for her, but I know one day he will.
This little cute boy is just sweet and full of personality. I love watching him discover and learn new things. Love him to pieces!

Nana and Papaw's visit

We had a few days left with my mom and dad after Christmas. We hung around the house for most of it, playing with our new things, and Friday we took them out to visit Restoration Ranch Retreat which is the property of a ministry we have recently gotten involved with. That's a whole different blog post that I plan on writing one of these days. So here are a few more pictures of our visit with Nana and Papaw.

Adalyn playing with her new building game. You take apart a car, plane and airplane and with a drill you put it back together. Our whole family has had fun with this game.

Papaw and Landon, looking more and more alike. Ha!

They were trying to get the horse's attention. Dancing...singing...banging sticks on the fence. It didn't work, but they were cute trying.
 Cute picture!

Merry Christmas!

We had a nice relaxing Christmas Day at home this year. My parents were able to come and visit so it was extra nice having them celebrate along with us. Our day consisted of opening presents of course, playing fun new games, the big girls playing with their new dolls, and then eating some yummy food. I wasn't as good this year with picture taking. I sat back and enjoyed the day a lot more, but now I'm wishing I had a few more. It was just a sweet day with my family and I spent the day feeling blessed to be where I am.

All ready for Christmas morning.

Their first peek Christmas morning.

Landon LOVES his new chair. He always was playing in his sisters chairs so it was a perfect gift for him.
The big girls got brand new Bibles with their names on them. They were so excited!
Avery really wanted this Lala Loopsy, however she has hardly touched it since. That little two year old...
This doll Adalyn picked out for Aubrey from her, Avery and Landon. Aubrey loves her! Funny thing, Aubrey picked out the same doll (different name) for Adalyn (mommy may have manipulated), from her siblings too. They played with them together pretty much the entire day. I never got a picture of Adalyn with hers though unfortunately.

The kiddos made Jeff a book about the things they like to do with him. They could hardly wait for him to open it.

I'm sad about the shadows on this one. It's the only one of me and the girls all day. They gave me a bunch of bath and body works lotions and sprays!

We had a great Christmas season this year. We really just sat back and enjoyed the season, doing activities and family activities that truly taught us and reminded us all about why we celebrate and the reason that Jesus came. I hope your  Christmas was blessed as welll!
