Nan and Bop's Visit

Last week Jeff's dad and stepmom came to visit us for the week. It was great because we got a 2 bedroom suite to stay in Oceanside for 4 days while they were here. It was a nice mini vacation for us! The only bad part was that they came during June gloom, so we only had one day at the beach. The rest of the time was too cold to be out by the water. Such a bummer! I'm so ready for the warm weather at the beach. But we made the most of it and had lots of fun. One day we just spent some time over at the Marina, eating lunch and looking around. Another day we make the trek to downtown San Diego and ate lunch and took the girls to the Children's Museum. One glorious evening they watched the girls, so Jeff and I could go see a movie at the theater that was walking distance from our hotel! It's always nice when we get to squeeze a date night in with free babysitting! Jeff, Aubrey, his Dad and Linda did manage to squeeze one more beach afternoon in after we came back to our house. The girls already missed a nap the day before and Adalyn doesn't really do too well with too much nap skipping, so her and I stayed home. We had such a blast with Nan and Bop and are looking forward to the next time they come to visit.
