Happy 4th of July

Our 4th of July was really fun this year. I say it every year but I really love the way Kingwood celebrates the 4th. It's just very festive and makes me feel like we live in a really quaint community. We started our morning out at the parade with our neighbors. It actually wasn't deathly hot this year. We sat on the shaded side and it was pretty cloudy which kept it nice and cool. Well I use "cool" loosely, but when referring to July in Texas "cool" actually works.

Our afternoon was pretty uneventful. Everyone napped so they could all handle staying up really late for fireworks.
Our church had a tailgating party in the Kingwood high school parking lot to watch the fireworks. It was a fun evening although most of it was spend chasing Landon before he ran into the parking lot over and over again.

Apparently it was way too bright for them! And this is all we got of all 4 of them that day. Sad sad...

Bomb Pops are always a hit on the 4th!

Waiting on fireworks. And that is where the pictures ended. Happy Independence Day!
