Wrapping up School at Starting Summer

About three weeks ago we officially finished our school year! Yippee! It was a great year, and I can honestly say that it has been a tremendous blessing to get through now two years of homeschooling. I find great joy in homeschooling, and it's been such a fun and memorable journey so far. Adalyn finished up kindergarten and Aubrey finished up First grade. To celebrate we had a family ice cream night, and Jeff and I presented the girls with these little certificates just to make it official. They were so excited, and we are so proud of these two girls and all their growth and achievements this year! Now for a short break before we pick it up again, and then it's baby time!

Our first official week of summer Jeff ended up having hernia surgery. It was a little more complicated than expected so his recovery time was a bit harder than we all thought. Now that was a rough first week of summer... taking care of him, plus the kids, plus being in my third trimester, and then to top it off I accidentally broke Landon's finger! Poor little guy is fine but it made for that much more of a crazy week!

After that fun week Aubrey and Adalyn were able to attend Creative Arts camp at the same church they go to for choir. They had so much fun and are still talking about it. They were able to do a performing art and a non performing art. Aubrey did dance and jewelery making,  and Adalyn did  dance and stained glass painting. On Thursday night they had parent night to showcase all they had done and of course I took absolutely zero pictures. They even did their dances of stage. Cute! But we did snap a few when we got home.
This is Aubrey's necklace she made. You can barely see it, but it's an ice cream cone that she colored, then they had to bake them. She was proud!
This is Adalyn's stained glass butterfly she painted. Well done beautiful girls!!
