Thanksgiving this year was quiet, but such great relaxing time with my family. I really really just enjoyed my day at home with the five people I love most. Jeff's brother and his family were supposed to come, but since all of the sickness in our home we decided it was best to cancel. We had been working on our thankful leaves all week, talking about all the things we were thankful most. Unfortunately I never got a picture of it and now Christmas overtook my Thankful wall. We worked on making fun turkeys all week and learning all sorts of things about the first Thanksgiving during our school time. But once Thanksgiving day was here we sat back and just enjoyed spending time together.
Here are a few of our turkeys, thankful turkeys and finger print turkeys.
This is how Aubrey dressed for Thanksgiving. And it just cracked me up. This girl loves wearing dresses and it was freezing outside so she took a sun dress (pink of course) and put a pink shirt under it with some leggings so she could wear a dress. Oh and to top it off she added her pink headed. Wondering how this fancy girl will be as a teenager one day! Ha!
We played lots of games. Our morning consisted of a really long game of headbands, and then Jeff played Connect Four against each girl. That game was a little chaotic for him because all four were all over him and the game. It made me laugh but Jeff kind of was about to loose his mind.
This picture cracks me up. It looks peaceful and sweet with Jeff and his four kiddos all playing with him, but in actuality it was the tip of the chaos with Connect Four. Landon grabbing all the pieces, Avery singing on the top of her lungs, Aubrey complaining that it wasn't her turn and trying to help with Landon. Oh dear. I had to snap a picture!
It eventually calmed down and Aubrey and Jeff enjoyed a peaceful game of Connect Four.
Landon in the midst of it all trying to eat the game pieces.
The big girls and I had fun building houses with legos.
Avery was full of personality all day and wanting to pose for the camera. This girl is something else these days!

WE had brisket too! No one in my house is to into Thanksgiving food, so since it was just us, I cooked food we liked. :)
