A Spur of the Moment Family Weekend Getaway!

Beware! Again, there are a billion pictures again on this post. How do you choose?!?!

We had such a blast this past weekend in Palm Springs (actually Palm Desert). Jeff knew I was really wanting to just getaway for a little bit, after I was really inspired by our speaker at MOPS. She wrote a book about all these fun things to do in Southern California. She told us about all these trips and traditions her family did when her boys where younger. She just really inspired me to take advantage of this great state that we live in and all the amazing things to do and see with your kids! So on Friday afternoon Jeff sent me a text that said "pack your bags"! How great is he! He booked us a hotel in Palm Desert for Saturday night. So Saturday morning we headed up and over the mountains and spent the weekend in the desert. Right when got there we headed to The Living Desert, which was a zoo just for desert animals. All Aubrey wanted to see there was a lizard. I guess because we had just found a dead one in our backyard, so we had to put that on our list! It was a great place and we all had a blast together!

Feeding the giraffe's with Daddy.

Watching the snake.

They had a cute little show with different desert birds and animals. The girls really enjoyed it. Here they are at the show!

Watching the model trains. They had the greatest model train that I have ever seen. It was huge and had the cutest little villages and towns. We spent a lot of time watching the trains.

Playing by the camels!

Riding the carousel. Their favorite part!

Me and my girls!

Then we headed to the hotel for some swimming time!

On our way to dinner we had to stop to take a few pictures in front of all the flowers. The hotel was gorgeous!
