We have had so much fun preparing and learning all about Thanksgiving. Last week I feel like we were finally getting back into the swing of home schooling (this week is another story), and we were able to do a few fun things. I know I say it often, but I really do love home schooling and getting to do fun things with the girls and spend so much time with them. They were so excited all week with each thing we did. Even Avery is getting to participate more and more these days.
We read a few Thanksgiving books. I highly recommend both of these books. The one about the first Thanksgiving has tons of info about the history of the holiday. Jeff and I both even learned a lot and Aubrey was especially very interested. The turkey one is just fun and had us all giggling.
We had a mini Thanksgiving feast as we learned about the First Thansgiving. The girls made hats and place mats for the feast the day before to prepare.
Then on Friday we made a fun turkey craft with leaves we had collected outside.
Then it was Thanksgiving feast time! We had so much fun and now we are looking forward to our real Thanksgiving feast.
(Luckily baby boy is still sleepy and sleeps most the day. I'm not sure what I would do if he didn't. I guess I better figure it out! I do look forward to the day when everyone gets to be involved!)

Man, you sure make our thankful tree look like crap. I blame it on Jeremy...he made ours. Looks like you're doing great as a momma to 4! Projects and everything. I'm impressed!
